Orion Carport Systems and Construction Inc., Orion Racking’s carport division, is pleased to announce that it has been chosen by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to design, fabricate, and train their crew to install a 262.5 kW solar carports system at the LADWP energy center.
The system is projected to produce 403 MWH per year. This amount of energy produced is equivalent to CO 2 emissions from 180,316 pounds of coal burned. This install will be featured at LADWP’s Energy center in North San Fernando Valley. The carports will enable the LADWP to increase its own utilization of ‘Green power’ and make the energy supply to the Energy Center independent of grid instabilities due to earthquake, fire or other emergencies.

Orion Carports come in two standard options, LETO is for single row car parking, TITAN is for double or tandem car parking.
